We use what works
Embracing stillness, and being in the moment does not mean do nothing. In fact, the opposite! The goal is to make sure you have the skill and plan of action to handle your most intense situations to the best of your ability. Here are the types of skills that help make this happen.
Mindfulness and Somatic
As simple as it is, Mindfulness has the ability to unlock your potential. But first you have to see it. With mindfulness, you clear the fog, and see your path clearer. Get out of your head and into your body for immediate change.
CBT
The tried and true method of challenging irrational thoughts. When validation is not enough, sometimes we need a new set of eyes to point out things we can’t see.
DBT
Another method of calming the mind. Reorienting our focus has been proven to show us what truly is in our control. And then fighting becomes a choice, not the only option.
EMDR
Trauma has a way to make us feel stuck. Stuck in an emotional state, stuck in one way of seeing an event, and even stuck in time. EMDR allows us to process the memory and allow you to move through it, instead of it keeping you forever.
IFS
Sometimes as much as we want progress, there are PARTS of us that benefit from staying exactly where we are mentally and emotionally. We discuss these PARTS and get to know them instead of locking them away.
Motivational Interviewing
Seeing things a different perspectives has so many benefits. So does changing the questions we ask ourselves. How much change do you actually want, and what does it look like?
